The next time you think you’ve got family drama, just take a quick hop across the pond and you’ll gain some perspective real quick. Look no further than the Royal Family—no, not that one—I’m talking real royalty, the Beckhams. As speculation continues over a rumored Beckham family feud, Romeo Beckham’s ex Kim Turnbull is seemingly setting the record straight on rumors she used to date Romeo’s big brother, Brooklyn Beckham.

Kim, a DJ and model, and Romeo reportedly split in early June after dating for a little less than a year. The two have kept their relationship mostly out of the public eye—save a few pap shots and joint appearances—but that hasn’t stopped tabloids from speculating. While they were dating, rumors claimed that Kim had previously dated Brooklyn in high school, something that many speculated caused a rift between Brooklyn and Romeo, potentially explaining Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz’s absence from Beckham family events.

And while Kim originally chose not to comment on the rumors, she’s now speaking out in order to “move on.” Without naming names, Kim released a statement on her Instagram Stories that appears to deny that she ever dated Brooklyn. “I’ve avoided speaking on this topic to prevent adding fuel to the fire, however it’s come to a point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on. I will not continue to receive harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative,” she wrote. “I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question. Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at age 16.”

She concluded her statement, saying she “would like to remove myself from the ongoing conversation” and “set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved.” In other words, she would like you to stop blaming her for a rumored family feud, thank you very much.

Romeo hasn’t commented on the matter, but he did post a screenshot from Roman Holiday in a cryptic Instagram Story with the message, “Be nice to people and don’t tell unnecessary lies.”

So there’s that.
